Brown had been placed on a ventilator as her condition worsened, but ultimately, she succumbed to the illness earlier this morning. The news was broken via her employers, who published a brief statement on their Twitter account.

Who is Karima Brown?

Famous for her no-nonsense attitude, Karima Brown often clashed with some of the most ferocious political figures in the country. She had an abrasive style when holding the powerful to account, often making her the target of certain factions. Brown, however, stuck to her principles throughout, delivering her unique brand of journalism for millions of viewers.
