Yip, the Zuma loyalists in the ANC are still in celebratory mode after defeating Tuesday’s motion of no confidence. One of those loyalists, water and sanitation minister Nomvula Mokonyane, has caused quite a stir with a victory speech she gave on Tuesday evening.

Mokonyane told a crowd of around 500 ANC supporters, that white people should not be allowed to “urinate” on the country’s democracy. Referring to the motion brought by the DA, she said that “no regime change agenda can divide the ANC”.

“We don’t want our democracy to be urinated on by amadlagusha (white people). We cannot allow regime change.

“Money cannot buy our revolution. Our commitment has never been secret‚” said Mokonyane to loud applause.

The outside of parliament on Tuesday was nothing short of a “who can shout louder” contest. Members of the ANC and opposition attempted to out stage the other with big trucks complete with mobile stages. The groups were just separated by a fence and police vehicles as both sides confidently danced and sung before the vote took place.

Think the two sides could have shared one screen to watch the vote? Nope, each side of the fence had their own giant screen where supporters watched the drama unfold inside.
