A Western Cape resident is in possession of a lottery ticket worth R3.4 MILLION

A player struck the jackpot in the LOTTO PLUS 2 draw on Saturday, 9 July. Now, the search is on for the individual who lives in the Western Cape.

LOTTERY TICKET WORTH MILLIONS SOMEWHERE IN WESTERN CAPE

According to National Lottery operator, Ithuba, the lucky winner spent just R20 on the winning ticket, which was purchased at the Shoprite Checkers in Vredenburg. The ticket is worth R3 390 180,20.

The winning numbers in the LOTTO PLUS 2 draw were: 13, 21, 31, 32, 39, 46 and Bonus Ball: 40

Players are encouraged to check their tickets and head to their nearest Ithuba regional office to collect their winnings.

“With amounts bigger than R50 000, we always have a team of financial advisors and psychologists, who assist with debriefing our winners, as winning large amounts of money may cause a form of trauma or shock.

“As for our financial advisors, they are there to guide our winners and advise them of the different investment portfolios or opportunities,” said the Lottery Operator’s CEO, Charmaine Mabuza.

Meanwhile, the PowerBall jackpot is expected to be worth an estimated R86 million on Tuesday night, 12 July, while the PowerBall PLUS jackpot sits at an estimated R11 million.
