Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected in places over the interior and eastern parts of the Northern Cape, West-Coast district, Cape Metropole, Cape Winelands, Overberg, Garden Route and Central Karoo of the Western Cape, northern interior of the Eastern Cape as well as the western parts of North-West and Free State.

Weather forecast and UV index for all provinces

Gauteng: Cloudy at first with fog patches on the Highveld, otherwise partly cloudy and cool but warm in the north.

UVB sunburn index: High.

Mpumalanga: Cloudy in the east in the morning with drizzle and fog patches along the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and cold to cool.

Limpopo: Cloudy in the east in the morning with drizzle and fog patches along the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm.

North-West Province: Cloudy at first, otherwise fine and warm to hot, but partly cloudy in the east.

Free State: Partly cloudy and cool in the extreme east, otherwise fine and warm, but hot in the extreme west.

Northern Cape: Cloudy to partly cloudy and cool along the coast with morning fog, otherwise fine and warm to hot becoming partly cloudy in the south but very hot in the north. The wind along the coast will be fresh southerly to south-easterly.

Western Cape: Apart from high level cloud, sunny and hot to very hot but warm in the extreme south-west. Misty conditions are expected along the west and south-west coastal areas in the evening. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh westerly to north-westerly but fresh easterly in the south.

UVB index: Extreme.

Western half of the Eastern Cape: Fine and hot to very hot but warm along the coast. The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong north-easterly to easterly.

Eastern half of the Eastern Cape: Partly cloudy at first otherwise fine and warm but hot in the west. The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong north-easterly but near gale force in the south in the afternoon.

KwaZulu-Natal: Partly cloudy with morning mist patches in places over the interior, otherwise cool. It will become fine by late afternoon. The wind along the coast will be moderate southerly to south-easterly becoming easterly to north-easterly from the south tomorrow morning and freshening by afternoon.
