IMPACT-BASED WARNINGS:

A. Yellow Level 2 Warning for winds and waves resulting in difficulty in navigation at sea between Saldanha Bay and Plettenberg Bay from the evening into Monday.

B. Yellow level 1 Warning for severe thunderstorms leading to localized flooding of susceptible roads, low-lying areas and bridges as well as large amounts of small hail over an open area, is expected over the western parts of both the Free State and the North West province

Gauteng

Temperature: Cloudy and cool with morning fog patches except in the south, becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: High.

Mpumalanga

Temperature: Cloudy in the morning, otherwise fine and cool to warm, but partly cloudy in the north-east.

Limpopo

Temperature: Cloudy with morning fog patches along the central parts, otherwise fine and cool to warm.

North West

Temperature: Cloudy with morning fog patches in the east becoming partly cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and thundershowers in the west.

Free State

Temperature: Cloudy with morning fog patches in the east becoming partly cloudy and cool to warm, with isolated showers and thundershowers except in the extreme east, but scattered in the west.

Northern Cape

Temperature: Fine and cool to warm, but cold in places in the south, becoming partly cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers in the east but scattered in the south-east.

Wind:

Western Cape

Temperature: Partly cloudy in the south and south-west with light rain from the afternoon, otherwise fine and cold to cool.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be light and variable, becoming fresh to strong south-easterly in the south west from the afternoon, but moderate south-westerly in the south.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Moderate.

Eastern Cape

The Western half: Fine at first, becoming partly cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and thundershowers over the interior, but scattered in the north-east. It will become cloudy in the evening.

The Western half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate north-westerly, becoming moderate to fresh south-westerly late morning.

The Eastern half: Cloudy in the extreme north with widespread showers and thundershowers, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm, with isolated showers and thundershowers, but scattered over the central parts.

The Eastern half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate north-easterly, becoming moderate to fresh south-westerly in the south during the afternoon

KwaZulu-Natal

Temperature: Morning fog patches in places over the interior, otherwise partly cloudy and warm but cool in places in the south-west. Isolated showers and thundershowers are expected in the extreme south.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-easterly.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Very High.
