Residents in the Mangaung metro were warned about severe thunderstorms predicted for the area for Thursday and Friday.
The Manguang metro warned residents that severe thunderstorms were predicted for the area.
According to Mangaung Metro spokesperson Qondile Khedama, the SA Weather Services issued a level 2 weather alert.
“Residents of Manguang metro Metro are urged to be cautious on the roads and in their homes as the SA Weather Services has issued an impact-based warning – level2 for severe thunderstorms.”
Khedama said the warning was valid for Thursday, 3 March, from 13:00 until Friday, 4 March 2022, at 11:00.

“Localised flash-flooding can be expected in low-lying areas, roads, and informal settlements. This could also result in difficult driving conditions due to reduced visibility.”
All road users are requested to take extra caution:
“We urged households to open/make pathways to allow water to flow out of their yards.

“In light of this warning, residents are urged to be cautious and keep safe from the thunderstorms,” Khedama said.
