Thousands of teenagers who call themselves ‘Luh Twizzy’ entered the Mall of Africa on Saturday, causing chaos.
Videos of the chaos were shared on social media.

It is believed the teenagers took part in a Tik Tok challenge called the ‘Luh Twizzy’ challenge. The challenge is to storm a mall and cause chaos, then leave. Sometimes they engage in fights inside the mall.
According to reports, the teenagers wear black clothes with skeletal printouts to gang up.

Reports on social media indicate that one teenager was stabbed in a fight on Saturday.
It is believed the injured teenager is in hospital.
A representative of mall management, who asked not to be named, told the media they could confirm that there were no death incidents.

“We are aware of the posts that are going around on social media of a particular alleged death, but we can confirm that it did not happen.
“We are investigating the reported disruption and will aim to share information with relevant parties as soon this is available.”

Last year, a large group of teenagers entered Montecasino, causing chaos around the facility among customers.
‘Luh Twizzy’ teenagers took to TikTok days before to call on others to join in that evening. Videos of the chaos were posted online during and after their visit.
