The 12-year-old Yonwaba Qetswana from Paarl is well on his way to becoming a star.

WATCH AS THE 12-YEAR-OLD BOY FROM PAARL BECOME AN INTERNET SENSATION

A video of his sweet rendition of Beyoncé’s song Listen went viral and has accumulated more than five million views.

In the video, Yonwaba from Dal Josafat in the Paarl can be seen dressed in his school uniform and singing his little heart out.

THE VIDEO HAS ACCUMULATED MORE THAN FIVE MILLION VIEWS

The video was shared by rap artist Durane Plaatjies (33) on his arts and culture page called DOEP TV. Durane was introduced to Yonwaba by his colleagues who work with children in sports and the arts and try to give them a platform.

“I personally think that Yonwaba has an extraordinary talent. Such talent is very rare. Now is a good time for him to learn more and grow. He is very obedient and disciplined and that makes me very happy.”

Durane said he wants to provide as much support as he can to other fledgling musicians after struggling to launch his career as a rap artist.

He goes around the streets recording young artists and then posts them on his Facebook page.

Yonwaba’s proud mother, Sakhise Qetswana, told the Son publication that he has always loved music.

“He started singing when he was only two years old. If a song comes on the television or radio, he will always use the TV’s remote control as a mic and sing along. He also sings in Sunday school. Singing is in our family. His grandmother and I sing in church.”

YONWABA IS VERY HAPPY ABOUT BEING AN INTERNET SENSATION

When the publication asked little Yonwaba how he felt about being an internet sensation, Yonwaba replied:

“I’m very happy and happy about it, and I really like singing. I am excited about what the future holds for me. I want to be a singer and a superstar one day when I grow up.”
