Look, we know politics can be very confusing the deeper you go. The political sphere is an arena filled with snakes, complicated legislation, backtracking and some people who really want to make a difference.

Over the last year in international politics, we’ve all heard a lot about “majorities” and “seats”. With the 2019 general elections edging closer and the ANC in turmoil, we could be in for the confusing madness that is coalition politics.

We might not be though… IF the ANC cleans up their act and elects a “good/solid” leader at their leadership conference in December. All the ANC branches across the country will come together to elect who will replace Zuma as President of the ANC and then potentially the country in 2019. While the ANC will have a new President, Zuma will still remain as the country’s president until his term ends after the next general election.

So how exactly do the ANC members go about voting at December’s conference, WHO votes specifically and who decides who votes? The brilliant people at TimesLIVE created a concise video that explains all of this and more.
