No rugby match is going to get in the way of the Springbok Sevens team helping a stranger out.
Ok so the Blitzboks didn’t win the Sevens tournament in Vancouver, Canada, but if ever they gave out awards for congeniality our boys sure would have taken it. Nothing punts your country quite like a team of burly lads getting their hands dirty without the promise of recognition — no really, the person they helped with their car had no idea who they were –.
Have a look as our Springbok Sevens team takes some time out of their super busy schedule to help a random stranger change their car tyre… with bucket-loads of that that good oll’ South African charm. Talk about building your brand!
How do you change a flat tyre if you live @CityofVancouver? Easy, ask the @Blitzboks #peoplesTeam @worldrugby7s @vancouver pic.twitter.com/v0qgvVxU0R

South Africa’s Sevens team didn’t do so well at the Canadian tournament, but winning over the hearts and minds of unsuspecting locals is a pretty darn great reward on its own… oh and there’s always Hong Kong.
The Springbok Sevens team hasn’t been doing all that well in our matches against England lately, what with losing the last three, so let’s hope we buck the trend before heading to Hong Kong on April 7. Actually, with all the good karma the guys have been racking up it might be just what we need to take the English down a notch.
The SA Sevens team, while on a bit of a slump at the moment, is still considered one of the best in the world and you know what always helps… a little more support. Why not follow our team’s progress on Twitter and show a little patriotism… if you haven’t already done so that is. Getting behind a team with the values these guys have, well, it’s a no-brainer really.
