American comedian, Josh Pray recently shared what it’s like playing rugby for the first time.

He says he can play American football and decided to try the game of rugby when he met some Australian rugby players in the park.

“How hard can rugby possibly be…it’s just football,” he says in the video published on his YouTube account in December.

He says it is actually the hardest sport on the Earth due to five reasons. One of them being, you better have big shoulders because you’ll need to scrum.

“When we bent [during the scrum], I realised my neck bent like it never bent before.”

Another reason why it is the hardest sport on Earth, is because the ball is not actually very easy to hold.

“When you run forward, and toss something back accurately without looking…it ‘aint that easy…while getting hit in your rib cage that you probably ‘aint going to have when you leave here…”

“Rugby players are on a level…that we couldn’t even imagine,” he continues.

Another reason why rugby players are secretly Spartans, according to Josh, is becasue when you eventually get tackled, the play does not stop.

“When we got the hang of the game, we were able to play it more effectively. But I realized there is no break between plays. When I was tackled, I was like ‘wait, are we not going to take a break?’ We didn’t huddle up one time.”

“When I get tackled, I need a four to five seconds break to get my thoughts together…to understand why I really want to continue to play this game.”

He also says the best feeling is when you eventually score a try.

“When I got to the end zone, I lost my mind. All the hard work, all the scrumming…scoring in rugby makes you a man.”
