A vehicle was rammed and overturned by an elephant on the Eastern Shores of the iSimangaliso Wetland Park on Sunday. Watch the video here.

It was a close call for occupants of a white vehicle in the iSimangaliso Wetland Park when an elephant bull charged and overturned the vehicle they were in on Sunday.

THE ELEPHANT ROLLED THE CAR AND SWIVELLED IT

In a frightening video that went viral, an elephant can be seen rolling the car onto its roof and swiveling it around before calmly walking off.

It is believed the incident happened on Sunday afternoon on the road to Cape Vidal.

IT IS BELIEVED NO ONE WAS INJURED DURING THE INCIDENT

According to reports, the occupants were not injured. It is believed that it was a family with two children in thevehicle.

The ordeal was captured on video by the occupants of the vehicle behind the one that the elephant targeted.

In November last year, another clip of an elephant attacking a vehicle went viral.

THE VIDEO SHOWED STUDENTS RUNNING FROM THE VEHICLE

A routine training activity nearly turned deadly when an elephant bull charged at wildlife guide students who were on a safari tour at the Selati Game Reserve.

In a frightening video that went viral, two elephants could be seen wandering towards the vehicle when a third charged from the left. The bull was in musth and used its tusks to shift the vehicle off the path.

A THIRD ELEPHANT CHARGED FROM THE LEFT SIDE

In a second video, filmed by an onlooker in another vehicle, as the bull elephant charged the vehicle, students could be seen jumping out and running to safety. It then appeared as though the elephant retreated shortly after attacking the vehicle.
