EFF leader Julius Malema has labelled the entire ANC “rotten” while speaking at the RMB Macro Forum. He says that merely getting rid of Jacob Zuma will not make a difference.

“I don’t think there’s any willingness to work with Cyril Ramaphosa and Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma. They come from a rotten organisation‚ they’re all the same.”

Malema has also reiterated claims he has previously made, claiming that the ANC is now talking about land because of the EFF’s stance on the issue. He says that while expropriation of land is a matter of when not if, the issue of compensation is causing debate.

With the ANC wanting to take over the reserve banks ownership, the EFF are worried for the bank’s independence. Even though the EFF wants a nationalised bank, Malema says they don’t want to do it in a way “that will put the economy into disaster”.

“The government of the day is corrupt. All of this can’t be achieved with corruption. They don’t want to transform anything for the better‚ they just want to become masters.”

Juju tore into Zuma’s proposal to create a second deputy president of the ANC. Zuma says a second deputy will help keep all factions in the ANC satisfied and not at war with each other. Malema says it’s more about getting everyone involved in the looting.
