WANTED suspects for teenage girl rape cases

These Wanted suspects are being sought for separate rape cases involving teenage girls in various parts of the country.

Two identikits of wanted suspects in connection with the rape of teenage girls have been circulated online by the South African Police Service (SAPS).

THE LOCATION WHERE THE OFFENCES WERE COMMITTED

These wanted suspects are being sought for separate rape cases involving teenage girls in various parts of the country.

In the first instance, Wesselsbron police have requested the community to help trace a man by the name of “Nkosikhona” who can assist with investigations after a 17-year-old girl was raped at her home in Monyakeng Township in 2015.

“The case was only reported to police in 2022 as the victim was threatened not to tell anyone.”

GANG-RAPE VICTIM IDENTIFIES ONE OF THE WANTED SUSPECTS

In the second instance, the Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offenses Unit is looking for three unknown men in connection with the rape of a girl in Riebeeckstad on 25 September 2022, at approximately 00:15.

“An 18-year-old girl reported that she was attending the Matjhabeng Spring Blow Festival in Riebeeckstad. She reportedly went to the toilet where she was approached by (wanted) three men who accosted and raped her. The matter was then reported to the police, and a case of rape was registered. An identikit of one of the suspects (pictured) was compiled,” said the police.
