The suspects reportedly took cellphones, at gunpoint, before fleeing the scene. The video of the armed robbery is just over 2 minutes long. At the beginning of the CCTV footage that was shared, a man is seen walking into the store, and the armed suspects follow him.

A Vodacom employee who was speaking to the man noticed the guns and tried to flee, the suspects followed her. The man who entered the store also tries to leave but is seemingly told to get on the ground by one of the suspects.

The video switches to a different camera angle and an employee and customer are seen on the ground. A few of the suspects assaulted one of the Vodacom employees.
