Unplanned water interruption affecting several areas of Tshwane

Tshwane’s dedicated technicians are actively addressing an unplanned water interruption affecting residents of some parts of Tshwane.

The City of Tshwane’s dedicated team of technicians is actively addressing an unplanned water interruption impacting residents supplied by the Mamelodi R3 and R4 Reservoirs.

The cause of the disruption is a significant pipe leak in the supply line feeding both reservoirs. Repair efforts commenced last night and are currently underway.

Notifications are reaching residents and businesses in the affected areas, informing them of the depletion of stored water in both reservoirs.

“The city recognises the frustration that may be caused by this unplanned supply interruption and has arranged tankers to supply the affected residents with water,” said the City of Tshwane.

Areas affected by the unplanned water interruption

The areas currently experiencing unplanned water interruptions include Franspoort 332-JR, Gem Valley (all extensions), Glenway Estate, Hartebeestpoort 328-JR, Hatherley 331-JR, Leeuwfontein 299-JR, Leeuwfontein 427-JR, Mahube Valley (all extensions), Moretele View, Nooitgedacht 333-JR, Pienaarspoort 339-JR, and The Willows 340-JR.

The City of Tshwane extends sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused by this water scarcity.

The repair team is diligently working to swiftly restore normalcy. They emphasise the city’s commitment to promptly addressing residents’ water needs.
