CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA – SEPTEMBER 2: President Jacob Zuma responds to a question during an interview in Cape Town.
Inside sources who spoke to City Press this weekend have claimed Jacob Zuma won’t face justice ‘any time soon’ in the spy tapes saga.
Their brutally honest lack of confidence is based on the stalling tactics the president is likely to employ. However, it’s not just a case of JZ playing the system. The system is also guilty of playing itself.
“A new team of prosecutors has to be appointed if Abrahams decides to prosecute, which is highly unlikely based on the position if things haven’t changed”
“It has taken nearly two years preparing for the Bosasa case [government tenders illegally going to prisons] and the evidence contained is just half of the case files in the spy tapes matter.”
This means that preparation for the case could take up to four years. Now, we all know it won’t take this shady president four years to plot his escape route…
It’s been officially stated that the president must answer these charges in court. But, by time the prosecution is ready, Zuma will have already said Du-bai to South Africa as the Guptas put him up in their UAE hideaways.
