IPSS Medical Rescue shared the heartwarming news of how a taxi driver did the most to assist his passenger.

Taxi driver reaches out to ambulance to assist his passenger

According to IPSS, they received a call from a taxi driver after one of his passengers travelling from Inanda to Mandeni, KZN, went into labour. The medical crews met the taxi after the driver pulled the vehicle over on the side of N2.

They revealed that there was no time to transport the expectant mother to hospital.

“On assessing the passenger realized there was no time to transport the woman to hospital, and safely delivered her baby girl in the ambulance,”

said IPSS Medical Rescue.

They then transferred the mother, her 10-year-old daughter and newborn baby to a nearby facility in good health.

WATCH: Dad TOSSES baby from burning apartment building

In other baby-related news making headlines, it was previously reported that a dad was forced to drop his baby out of the window of a burning apartment building, into the arms of firefighters, in a dramatic scene caught on video, Fox 8 reports.

The incident is reported to have occurred in New Jersey, early Monday morning, 7 March 2022. It is believed that first responders to the blaze thought they had managed to fill the building when they noticed a man stick his head out of a second-story window.

Police body camera shows the officers directing the man to toss them his baby, which he did. Once the baby was safe and in the arms of the officers, the dad jumped out of the window headfirst.

Both the father and his baby were subsequently treated for minor injuries – and are a group of about 50 people from the building affected by the fire. Authorities are now investigating the cause of the blaze. Read the full story here.
