An American TV news channel is under fire after it accidentially aired a 13-second pornographic video clip during its weather, giving viewers the shock of their lives.

According to New York Post, the explicit footage featured on the CBS affiliate channel KREM on Sunday evening, 17 October 2021. The meteorologist Michelle Boss appeared to be completely oblivious to the fact that the clip was airing, telling viewers that Washington was likely to experience “bonus days” of hot weather after warm temperatures hit the state over the weekend.

The clip showed a woman’s backside, appearing on a monitor behind Boss’s right shoulder. Her co-host Cody Proctor kept it cool and didn’t react to the video.

The news channel later issued an apology to its viewers, who were undoubtedly shocked by the footage.

“Those of us here at KREM 2 want to apologize for something that happened in our 6pm newscast tonight. An inappropriate video aired in the first part of the show. We are diligently working to make sure something like this doesn’t happen again,” KREM said.

Police investigating ‘pornographic’ weather segment

In addition to confirming that porn did indeed air during the weather segment, the Spokane Police Department’s special victims unit said it is investigating how the image appeared in the first place.

“It was a short video segment, generally described as a small portion of the screen, showing a separate image from the newscast of what appeared to be a possibly pornographic or explicit image. At the time of this release, the investigation is ongoing and no culpability of any kind has been determined,” police added.
