Authorities are investigating a triple murder after a fatal shooting incident in Ravensmead, Cape Town claimed the lives of two 16-year-old teenagers and a 45-year-old man on Friday 29 January 2021.

Ravensmead triple murder: What we know

As per the Western Cape Anti Gang Unit, detectives arrived at the scene of the murder at Eureka Estate in Ravensmead at 21:00 on Friday.

Police spokesperson Brigadier Novela Potelwa said officials found the bodies of two 16-year old teenagers and a 45-year old man outside the house.

“A fourth person aged 18, who was injured in the shooting, had already been taken to a medical facility for treatment”.

Motive for murder unknown

The motive of the killing is not known at this stage; no arrests have been made as yet. Based on the initial investigation, detectives believe that the suspects drove a white vehicle and opened fire.
