Verulam step son stabs stepfather to death
The stepfather was found to have stab wounds on his back, chest and face after his step son stabbed him in their home in Verulam.

A stepfather has been brutally murdered by his step son during an altercation at their Maple Drive, Trenance Park in Verulam on Friday night.
The 47-year-old Dilo Subramoney Pillay died after he was repeatedly stabbed by his step son.
VERULAM SON MURDERS STEPFATHER
According to Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA), a resident contacted them at approximately 22:15 requesting assistance for the critically injured man.
Reaction Officers and RUSA Medics were immediately dispatched and on arrival were directed into the residence.
“The victim was located lying in a pool of blood in the passage. Upon examination, he was found to have sustained twelve (12) stab wounds to his back, chest and face. He showed no signs of life and was declared deceased by Medics.
“It was alleged that the deceased and his wife were involved in an argument when his step son intervened. During an altercation the deceased was repeatedly stabbed. His step son fled but later returned while First Responders were attending to the scene. His clothing was drenched in blood.”
The suspect estimated to be in his early twenties was placed under arrest by Police and detained at SAPS Verulam.
