TRAGIC: Woman DIES after getting hair caught in machine at factory

The family of a young woman have been left completely devastated after she died in a shocking freak accident: The 21-year-old, who was pregnant, died from a fatal head injury after her hair got caught in a machine at a factory where she was being interviewed for a job, Daily Mail reports.

The woman, Umida Nazarova from Borisov in Belarus, was being shown around the factory when her hair got caught in a machine. The hair then wrapped around her neck and she became trapped and covered in blood.

“Her throat was injured, according to the doctor. Her hair got wrapped around her neck and she was pulled into the mechanism. If her scalp had not been torn off, she would have been strangled there and then by her own hair,” Nazarova’s mother Olga is quoted as having told Daily Mail.

She went to hospital where she was unconscious for nearly three weeks before being declared dead. Nazarova had reportedly suffered head injuries and her scalp got ripped off.

FACTORY OFFICIALY SENTENCED FOR FREAK ACCIDENT

It has been reported that an unnamed plant head of production has been sentenced for Umida Nazarova’s death, with a court finding that she failed to fulfil her official duties ‘due to dishonest and negligent attitude.’

A statement from the Belarus Investigative Committee said: “An employee, who was showing her how the equipment operates, paused to make a record in a register. When she turned her head, she saw the woman already lying on the floor unconscious, her hair was tangled in the machine.”

The company ended up footing the bill for Nazarova’s funeral.
