Teachers’ union selling school

Teachers’ union selling school jobs for cattle in South Africa

The South African Democratic Teacher’s Union is selling senior positions at schools in KZN, for livestock no less.

Teachers’ union selling school

According to News24, the folks selling the school principal positions are ‘rogue elements’ of the South African Democratic Teachers Union (SADTU).

Surely you’d want cash instead, but then you’d have SARS on your ass. This way all you need to worry about is transporting your loot, which Unions never seem to have an issue with anyway. One question though, which schools are worth a cow and which are only goat-worthy?

Anyway, the story goes that minister of basic education Angie Motshekga last year became aware of the union’s corrupt dealings with some schools, including sex-for jobs schemes in Jozi as well.

What they found was rampant corruption throughout the entire basic education departments of KZN, Gauteng, North West, the Eastern Cape, Mpumalanga and Limpopo. Everything from cows to sheep, goats and of course a union member’s favourite… cold hard cash.

Earlier today we reported that, if all our kids had a basic education at the age of 15, the country’s economy would grow by 2624%… but it seems our democratic teacher’s union has more immediate concerns.

SADTU has denied the claims against its members – go figure — .
