The Bolobedu Police have launched a manhunt for unknown criminals who set fire to a taxi association building and motor vehicles Kgapane.

Police in Bolobedu, Limpopo have launched a massive manhunt for unknown suspects who burnt an office building and cars worth more than R2 million in Kgapane on Saturday.

The office building and vehicles belonged to a local taxi association, according to Perfect Radio.

HOW THE SUSPECTS BURNT THE PROPERTY

A 32-year-old Security Officer was on duty at the premises when he observed fire in the yard, according to information received from Limpopo SAPS spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba. He moved on to explore further and saw that the office buildings, as well as the vehicles parked in the yard, were on fire.

The on-duty officer quickly reported to the police and members of the Emergency Fire Brigade, who were able to put out the fire.

POLICE LAUNCH MANHUNT IN BOLOBEDU

The motive for the incident, which has left residents in shock, is currently unknown at this stage. Bolobedu police have opened a case of malicious damage to property.

TAXI VIOLENCE IN LIMPOPO
