Stepfather dies after he was BRUTALLY stabbed 12 times by stepson
Reaction Unit SA (RUSA) said a 47-year-old stepfather was stabbed to death by his stepson in his house in KwaZulu-Natal.

A 47-year-old stepfather was stabbed to death by his stepson in his house in KwaZulu-Natal. He sustained 12 stab wounds to his back, chest, and face.
IT IS BELIEVED THE MOTHER AND STEPFATHER HAD AN ALTERCATION
Reaction Unit SA (RUSA) spokesperson Prem Balram said a resident contacted RUSA at approximately 22:15 on Friday requesting assistance for the critically injured man.
“Reaction Officers and RUSA paramedics were immediately dispatched and on arrival were directed into the residence.
“The man was located lying in a pool of blood in the passage. Upon examination, he was found to have sustained 12 stab wounds.”
The stepfather showed no signs of life and was declared dead on the scene by paramedics.
THE STEPSON INTERVENED AS THE COUPLE WERE FIGHTING
“It was alleged that the deceased and his wife were involved in an argument when his stepson intervened. During an altercation, the deceased was repeatedly stabbed.
“His stepson fled but later returned while First Responders were attending to the scene. His clothing was drenched in blood,” Barlam said.
He said the stepson estimated to be in his early twenties, was placed under arrest by Police and detained at SAPS Verulam.
THE STEPSON RETURNED DRENCHED IN BLOOD
Meanwhile, in an unrelated incident, a 31-year-old man was killed after he was shot during a home invasion in Osindisweni on Tuesday morning.
Balram said paramedics arrived on the scene and located a large crowd gathered outside the house.

“Paramedics were directed to the living room where the man was discovered lying on a sofa. Upon examination, he was found to have sustained a gunshot wound to his head and chest. He showed no signs of life and was pronounced deceased.”
ANOTHER FATAL INCIDENT IN THE AREA EARLIER THIS WEEK
He said, according to the victim’s brother, he was asleep in his room which he shared with his girlfriend when three men gained entry through his bedroom window.
They were forced to lay face down on the floor when two of the men proceeded to his brother’s room and asked him to open the door. Three shots were fired in the passage after his brother refused to open up for them.

It is believed the men broke the door and entered the room. An altercation broke out before the man was shot.
“The suspects ransacked the house, which is also known to be a shebeen. They stole an undisclosed amount of cash and alcohol before they fled in an unknown vehicle,” Balram said.
