Spur, Wimpy and Premier Hotels give USA’s ‘kill the gays pastor’ the boot

Pastor Steven L Anderson, famous for praising the murder of 49 people at the gay nightclub shooting in Orlando in the USA, has been given the cold shoulder by three local companies, including the hotel the planned staying in.

Spur, Wimpy and Premier Hotels

Anderson — who from the Faithful Word Baptist Church in Phoenix, Arizona — has had a big oll’ South African-sized spanner thrown in the works of his planned tour of SA in September; when no less than three local companies refused him their premises on account of his message of hate against the LGBT community.

The religious nut’s tour of South Africa is set to start in Johannesburg later this year and he planned on kicking it off with a breakfast at the Festival Mall Spur in Kempton Park, followed by lunch at the centre’s Wimpy.

Unfortunately for him, both establishments have outright told the pastor that they won’t be allowing him on their premises under any circumstances.

News24 reports that Spur Steak Ranches in a Tweet yesterday said: “We, as the Spur Group, are reserving our right to prohibit this person entering any Spur restaurants as his views are contrary to the non-discriminatory and openly tolerant stance of our brand.”

Wimpy soon followed suit, posting the following on their Facebook page:“Anderson is widely recognised for his homophobic pronouncements and has been accused of inciting hate speech. Wimpy has advised Anderson that the business will not permit him to conduct public preaching or religious gatherings in its restaurants. Wimpy reserves the right to prohibit him from entering any Wimpy restaurant.”

As if that wasn’t enough, the homophobe was also refused accommodation by the Premier Hotels and Resorts group, who said: “As a South African company, we support the democratic values of human dignity, equality and freedom laid out in this cornerstone of our country’s democracy.

“We reserve the right of admission to any of our properties and will be exercising this right in this instance.”

Following the death of 49 people at a gay nightclub in Orlando last month, Anderson took to YouTube to praise the slaughter.

“The good news is that there’s 50 less paedophiles in this world, because, you know, these homosexuals are a bunch of disgusting perverts and paedophiles,” he said in a video post.

Back in 2014 he told followers “if you executed the homos like God recommends, you wouldn’t have all this Aids running rampant.”
