South Africans will forgive the ANC and Zuma. Ayanda Dlodlo

Yeah… about that.

So, according to ANC NEC member Ayanda Dlodlo; the Constitutional Court’s ruling against Zuma and the National Assembly “might” affect how people feel about the party. No, Ayanda, what affects how people feel about the party is that, after being found in contravention of the Constitution; the entire ANC closed ranks and decided to take a massive dump on the ConCourt’s ruling by protecting Zuma from facing the music.

Anyway, the clearly detached Dlodlo believes that getting out of her expensive car and talking to the people on the ground will turn the tide for the diminished ruling party.

“The ConCourt might have an effect on people’s morale and how they view the ANC, but I think with time some of them will taper off as we talk to people on the ground,” she told the press at a lunch with controversial  Port Elizabeth mayor, Danny Jordaan.

The Constitutional Court last month found that Zuma violated the Constitution when he ignored the Public Protector’s report on his ‘security-upgrades’ at Nkandla and shortly after el presidente made a public apology on live television saying. Only, he didn’t really make an apology as he claimed that he did not “knowingly or deliberately” violate the Constitution.

Dlodlo said that Zuma has apologised and the ANC accepts his apology.

“South Africans are forgiving people. We have seen that before, but we do not take the electorate for granted,” she said.
