EFF tied to VBS looting
A Scorpio investigation claims to have blown the lid off of Julius Malema’s and the EFF’s involvement in the VBS Bank heist. The publication accused the EFF of looting R1.8 million from the institution, as Brian Shivambu put the funds into an account belonging to Juju’s cousin. You can read more about this here.

The allocation of R1.249 billion to the South African Express airline has come under fire. Parly want to know whether this allocation is a loan or a buy-in of shares, how this will be paid and whether an assessment was made before these allocations were done. Officials must file their responses by Friday 23 November.
Reserve Bank decision on the repo rate
Keep your eye on this one, today: There could be a shift in the current repo rate: It is the benchmark interest rate at which the central bank lends money to other banks. Any change to this affects interest rate payments in South Africa.
Grade 1 Pupil stabbed in North West
On Thursday, a Grade 1 learner’s body was found in the boys’ toilet at Dikeledi Makapan Primary School in North West. According to a statement that was released by the Department of Basic Education, the boy suffered multiple stab wounds and was later pronounced dead on arrival at the nearby local clinic.
