The South African Police Service has managed to make strides towards taking drugs off of SA’s streets.

In a statement released on Christmas eve, Colonel Thembeka Mbele confirmed that the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Drug and Firearm Unit carried out successful operations.

In line with this, Mbele detailed how the focus was on the Durban Metro and surrounding areas. With the festive season now in full swing, criminals were also out in the hopes of capitalising on Christmas cheer.
