Motorist burnt ‘beyond recognition’ after head-on collision on N2 [WATCH]
A car burst into flames after a head-on collision with a bakkie on the N2 in KZN on Thursday morning, 2 December.

A motor vehicle accident on the N2 in North Durban between a bakkie and a car left one person dead on Thursday morning, 2 December. One of the vehicles reportedly burst into flames after the collision and the fire eventually engulfed both vehicles.
MOTORIST BURNT AFTER CRASH
Netcare911 spokesperson Shawn Herbst said the emergency service responded to the crash at 8:15 on Thursday morning.
The collision took place north of Durban on the N2 northbound between KwaMashu and Umhlanga.
According to reports, a motorist burnt after a head-on collision between a bakkie and a car. The car burst into flames, which spread to the second vehicle.
“Medics assessed the scene and found two patients,” said Herbst. “One occupant from the car had sadly been burned beyond recognition.”
The occupant of the bakkie sustained moderate injuries in the accident and was treated at the scene by advanced life support paramedics.
