A strong cold front and more snow are expected to make landfall this week.

According to Voxweather forecaster Annette Botha, light snowfall was expected over the high-lying areas of these parts on Sunday: 

  • Drakensberg 
  • Lesotho
  • Tiffindale
  • Mataliele 
  • Underberg 
  • Sani Pass
  • Bergville 

On Wednesday, a stronger cold front is expected to make landfall bringing in icy cold sub-polar air.

Senzo Meyiwa: Accused eligible to apply for bail as trial starts from scratch

The five men accused for the murder of former Bafana Bafana captain, Senzo Meyiwa, are eligible to apply for bail as the late goalkeeper’s trial has started from scratch.

This was revealed by the new Presiding Judge in the murder trial, Ratha Mokgoatlheng on Monday, 17 July.

On Monday, Mokgoatlheng confirmed that the trial is starting from scratch.

BREAKING: Eskom ‘parts ways’ with ex-COO Jan Oberholzer

Eskom has announced that it is cutting ties with its former Chief Operating Officer (COO) Jan Oberholzer.

“Eskom and Mr Jan Oberholzer part ways by mutual agreement. His last day with Eskom will be 31 July 2023,” the power utility said in a brief statement.

The resignation of CEO Andre De Ruyter and the saga surrounding it may lead many to believe there is more to Jan Oberholzer’s departure than the power utility is letting on, but only time will really tell.

BREAKING: Cash-in-transit guards injured in brazen HEIST [VIDEO]

A cash-in-transit heist has left two security guards injured after the armoured vehicle was attacked in Pretoria, Gauteng, this afternoon, Monday,17 July.

Emer-G-Med reports that earlier this evening, just after 17h00, traffic was brought to a standstill on the N4 national highway in the vicinity of Watermeyer and Russouw Streets following the incident.
