Belinda Magor, the woman behind the voice note, calling for blacks to be killed instead of Pitbulls, has been arrested. 

The South African Weather Service (SAWS) issued an Extreme Heat Advisory for the Western Cape and Northern Cape on Sunday, 27 November. The advisory is valid from 8:00 until 20:00 on Monday, 28 November. 

The National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) said the removal of the MASSIVE whale carcass washed ashore in Cape Town will be investigated.

Social media was abuzz on Sunday when a funnel cloud was spotted over Gauteng.

A motorist rear-ended a Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) vehicle injuring two officers this morning, Sunday, 27 November.

And lastly, a 37-year-old woman was mauled to death on Sunday morning by dogs while on her way to work in Port Alfred.

Belinda Magor: Woman behind ‘racist Pitbull rant’ ARRESTED

Belinda Magor, the woman behind the voice note, calling for blacks to be killed instead of Pitbulls, has been arrested. 

This was confirmed by Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi on Saturday, 26 November. 

Magor topped social media trend lists for her voice note in which she called for black people to be killed and banned instead of Pitbulls. Her rant comes as a number of South Africans are calling for the vicious dogs to be banned following a spate of mauling incidents that have claimed innocent lives of children.

Extreme heat warning: 40°C temperatures in the Western Cape

The South African Weather Service (SAWS) issued an Extreme Heat Advisory for the Western Cape and Northern Cape on Sunday, 27 November.

The advisory is valid from 8:00 until 20:00 on Monday, 28 November. The weather service said the extreme heat would be the result of windy conditions in the Western Cape.

The South African previously reported that the province would experience gusts of up to 70km/h from Friday to Sunday.

Social media was abuzz on Sunday when a funnel cloud was spotted over Gauteng.

A funnel cloud is a funnel-shaped cloud of condensed water droplets associated with a rotating column of wind extending from the base of a cloud but not reaching the ground or a water surface. A funnel cloud is usually visible as a cone-shaped or needle-like protuberance from the main cloud base.

Rear-ended JMPD officers sustain critical injuries

A motorist rear-ended a Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) vehicle injuring two officers this morning, Sunday, 27 November.

JMPD spokesperson Xolani Fihla said the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) management wishes Metro Police officers Simphiwe Msimanga and Neo Motseke from the Freeway Patrol Unit a speedy recovery.

Removal of a massive whale carcass in Cape Town to be investigated

The National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) said the removal of the MASSIVE whale carcass washed ashore in Cape Town will be investigated.

Videos and images were shared on Saturday showing several heavy-duty vehicles removing the whale carcass. By Saturday afternoon, the whale carcass was seen tied up on a flatbed truck.

Port Alfred woman MAULED to death by dogs on Sunday

A 37-year-old woman was mauled to death on Sunday morning by dogs while on her way to work in Port Alfred.

According to a police spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu, the incident happened at about 07:45 on Sunday.

“The woman was walking on Alfred Road when she was attacked. Two men who witnessed the attack ran to a nearby security official and reported the incident.

“The security official contacted the police however when police arrived, the badly injured woman was lying on the side of the road.”Police spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu
