Power utility Eskom announced that load shedding would be pushed to Stage 4 on Sunday – with more outages planned for the week ahead.

Load shedding will be at Stage 4 until 05:00 on Monday, 24 October and will continue at various stages for the rest of the week.

Bodies of man and niece found a week after being reported missing

Almost a week after they were reported missing, the bodies of a man and his niece were found in a river in Eldorado park.

The two were reported missing on Thursday, 13 October. They were last seen going to a river in Eldorado Park to perform rituals, according to SAPS Colonel Dimakatso Sello.

A young Stellenbosch couple was reported missing since they were last seen on Friday evening. 

According to information, the couple, Leila Lees (18) and Ethan Kirkland (19), were last seen leaving The Niche apartment block in Stellenbosch at around midnight on Friday.

LOOK: Hailstorm hit parts of South Africa on Saturday

A hailstorm hit several parts of South Africa on Saturday afternoon, and more warnings were issued for Sunday.

Several areas were affected by the hailstorm, including Odendaalrus and large areas of the Free State.

This comes after the South African Weather Service (SAWS) issued Level 2 and LEVEL 4 warnings for severe thunderstorms with hailstorms on Saturday in several parts of South Africa.

South African Actor Eric Nobbs dies at 68

This is sad! South African actor Eric Nobbs sadly passed away at 68 on Sunday from a suspected heart attack.

According to reports, Eric began his career in 1978, and starred in several productions, including Boetie Gaan Border Toe, Ma-Plotters, Lui Maar Op Belinda (Season 1 and 2, as Frans), Die Byl (Seasons 1-3 as Dr. Fritz Barnard), Flatland and The Power of One (co-starring Morgan Freeman and Daniel Craig).
