Instant karma! Pretoria cable thief arrested after hand gets STUCK

Oh mate. Never mind getting caught red-handed, if that was us, we’d be more red-faced. A suspected cable thief was caught mid-steal last night, and one local neighbourhood watch group had the simplest of tasks, when it came to turning the crook into Pretoria SAPS.

The suspect was, pardon the pun, ‘handed over’ on Wednesday evening. He was discovered on a non-descript patch of land, next to a residential fence. When AfriForum’s patrol arrived, they noticed that the male suspect was sat on the ground, defeated and slumped next to a manhole.

WATCH: Drama as Adv Teffo demands to see Judge in court

There was drama at the North Gauteng High Court on Thursday morning before proceedings in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial could even start as former defence lawyer for accused 1 -4 Advocate Malesela Teffo walked in robed and demanded to see Presiding Judge, Tshifhiwa Maumela.

It wasn’t immediately clear what Adv Teffo who quit earlier this year had come to do as he walked around in court.

Court proceedings were delayed after Teffo showed up in court. The advocate held a discussion with both the defence lawyers and the State prosecutor who were seemingly confused and questioned his presence. In the midst of all the confusion heavy police presence entered the court and followed Teffo has he walked out.
