The South African Post Office has announced that it will no longer pay out the SASSA R350 SRD grant. Recently, beneficiaries of the R350 SRD grant were urged to look for alternative payment methods given the recent spate of robberies at post Office branches. 

The former mayor of the City of Johannesburg was seriously injured in a car accident, said the regional ANC in a statement on Tuesday, 10 May. The details remain scant, however, the ANC Greater Johannesburg Region said Moerane “is in a critical but stable condition” and that he is receiving medical attention in a hospital in the wake of the car accident.

A woman has been given the title of ‘Looter of the year 2022’ after she was seen running with a severed cow’s head from a truck that was involved in an accident.

According to a report, the accident happened on the N4 when a truck transporting cow heads was involved in an accident. It is reported no one was hurt. Yes, this is only something you will see in SA!

SASSA R350 grant: SA Post Office to stop paying beneficiaries

The South African Post Office has announced that it will no longer pay out the SASSA R350 SRD grant. 

Recently, beneficiaries of the R350 SRD grant were urged to look for alternative payment methods given the recent spate of robberies at post Office branches. 

SA Post Office spokesperson, Johan Kruger said a new round of applications for the R350 SRD grant has opened which now includes an option where beneficiaries can receive their grant from any Pick n Pay, Boxer, Shoprite, Checkers or USave merchant.

‘Critical but stable’: Former JHB mayor Mpho Moerane hospitalised after accident

The former mayor of the City of Johannesburg was seriously injured in a car accident, said the regional ANC in a statement on Tuesday, 10 May.

The details remain scant, however, the ANC Greater Johannesburg Region said Moerane “is in a critical but stable condition” and that he is receiving medical attention in a hospital in the wake of the car accident.

“To this end, the ANC wishes Cde Mpho a speedy recovery and requests that we give the family and the ANC space to provide support to Cde Mpho to ensure his full recovery,” said regional coordinator Dada Morero.

Five DANGEROUS inmates escape – Have you seen these men?

Five DANGEROUS inmates have escaped after they overpowered a police officer and took the cell key from the officer. Have you seen the five men?

The Zeerust police have launched a manhunt for five men who escaped. All five of them were awaiting trial for crimes, including house robbery, rape, attempted murder, business robbery, and aggravated robbery.

According to the police spokesperson Brigadier Sabata Mokgwabone the men escaped on Sunday.

Family DEMANDS answers from Police Minister after young father was shot and killed on N4

The family of the young father who was shot and killed in front of his wife and baby on the N4 is demanding answers from Police Minister Bheki Cele.

They want to specifically hear from Cele why some murder cases in South Africa are getting preferential treatment.

Juandre Kidson (29) from Brits was shot and killed in front of his wife and baby on the N4 while begging for mercy for his family. His wife, Johanette, was shot in the shoulder as she fought the robbers off, who tried to grab their baby from her arms.
