The family of a young woman who died while working at an MSC Orchestra has accused the company of lying about their daughter’s cause of death.  

Hombisa Mafuduka from Lusikisiki in the Eastern Cape left home in January to work for MSC Cruises. She died onboard in an MSC Orchestra. Her family believed it was a natural death, only for her body to reveal the total opposite. 

Meanwhile, in concerning news, South Africa appears to be struggling with the retention of skilled healthcare professionals – and some regions, in particular, are missing a large number of key workers. 

This is just disgusting! A private security company, Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) is on the lookout for an Indian man believed to be engaging in sex with dogs (RUSA) in Durban.

And then lastly, the teenage driver who fled police and ended up causing a mass pile-up in which former Springbok Pedrie Wannenburg died, has been named.

Wannenburg died in the multi-vehicle crash in the United States over the weekend after a high-speed police chase ended in tragic circumstances.

MSC Cruise: South African found dead with broken neck and head injury

The family of Hombisa Mafuduka who died while working at an MSC Orchestra has accused the company of lying about their daughter’s cause of death.  

Hombisa Mafuduka from Lusikisiki in the Eastern Cape left home in January to work for MSC Cruises and was declared dead on 24 March 2022 while the cruise liner was returning to Durban from Mozambique. 

The 24-year-old’s aunt, Lulama Mafuduka said the family was told that Hombisa vomited blood, was taken to the hospital and resuscitated. On the way back she collapsed and unfortunately passed away, making them believe it was a natural death.

Medical brain drain? Regions with ‘worst staff shortages in SA’ revealed

South Africa appears to be struggling with the retention of skilled healthcare professionals – and some regions in particular are missing a large amount of key workers. The latest numbers, supplied via a Parliamentary Q&A session, have led to fears of an upcoming ‘medical brain drain‘ for Mzansi.

In one province, nearly HALF of all specialist medical vacancies remain unfilled. Drilling into the specifics, we can see that there’s a serious shortage of available nurses threatening SA’s hospitals, too.

Assistance sought in locating Phoenix man engaging in sex with dogs

Private security company, Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) is on the lookout for an Indian man believed to be engaging in sex with dogs (RUSA) in Durban.

Cinderella Animal Rescue contacted RUSA on Monday morning seeking assistance in locating the man believed to be residing in Stanmore – Phoenix in KwaZulu Natal (KZN). 

The organisation was alerted to advertisements placed on the AdsAfrica Website Personals in the Durban & Johannesburg area.

KZN floods: Death toll rises again after one more body found

A search and rescue team in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) has found one more body believed to be that of a victim that was swept away in the recent floods, which means the death toll will likely increase.

Rescuers found the body in Molweni along the Umgeni River. According to various media reports, authorities were alerted of the grim discovery by a man who was with his children when they saw a human hand protruding from the sand.

For now, the number of those killed in the KZN floods stands at 435 but the recovery of the latest body is yet to be added to that count. In addition, well over 50 people remain unaccounted for.

The teenage driver who fled police and ended up causing a mass pile-up in which former Springbok Pedrie Wannenburg died, has been named.
