The body of Khayalethu Magadla, the 6-year-old who slipped and fell into a manhole in Dlamini Park, Soweto has reportedly been found.

Interpol South Africa has managed to arrest a 28-year-old Nigerian national who is believed to be part of a cybercrime ring involved in a string of dodgy online schemes, including phishing, internet scams and money laundering.

A 19-year-old man is fighting for his life after he got entrapped in a combine harvester in Piet Retief in Mpumalanga.

In other tragic news, a woman died while trying to save her 13-year-old nephew, who had fallen into a silo on the farm and sunk into the maize on a farm near Standerton.

And lastly, this is just terrible. A boyfriend dismembered and burned his girlfriend while out on bail for assaulting her.

JUST IN: Khayalethu Magadla’s body has been found

The body of Khayalethu Magadla, a 6-year-old who slipped and fell into a manhole in Dlamini Park, Soweto on 12 June has been found. 

Various teams have been relentlessly searching for the missing 6-year-old. His body was reportedly found on Saturday afternoon at the Eldorado Park Cemetery wastewater plant.

Interpol arrests Nigerian national for schemes worth over R190 million

Interpol South Africa has managed to arrest a 28-year-old Nigerian national who is believed to be part of a cybercrime ring involved in a string of dodgy onine schemes including phishing, internet scams and money laundering, the South African Police Service (SAPS) has said.

Authorities pounced on James Junior Aliyu and arrested him at a posh estate in Sandton, Johannesburg, earlier this week following a takedown operation.

“Just after 10:00 on Wednesday, 29 June 2022, members from the Interpol National Crime Bureau (NCB) in Pretoria with the assistance from members of the SAPS Gauteng Highway Patrol Unit swooped in on the upmarket estate where they affected the arrest.”

said SAPS spokesperson Colonel Athlenda Mathe.

Woman dies trying to save her 13-year-old nephew from maize silo

A woman died while trying to save her 13-year-old nephew, who had fallen into a silo on the farm and sunk into the maize on a farm near Standerton.

Both the woman, Jackie (33), and her nephew Kerneels Rautenbach died in the silo. According to a report by Standerton Chronicle, the tragic incident happened on Friday.

It is believed Kerneels’ mother, Selmari sent out an urgent message pleading for help for her son, who had fallen into the silo and that he had sunk into the maize.

Boyfriend dismembered and burned girlfriend while on bail for assaulting her

It’s been ten months since Siphokazi Booi’s boyfriend has been arrested for allegedly dismembering and burning her body parts. Despite delays in the justice system, the family is happy he was behind bars as he killed her while out on bail.

Booi’s alleged killer, Sithobele Qebe, was out on bail after being released for assaulting her last year. Pictures of her swollen and unrecognisable face made the rounds on social media.

But a month after his release on bail, Qebe allegedly went after Booi, 27, to brutally kill her.

19-year-old man entrapped in farming machine, critical

A 19-year-old man was left in critical condition after he got entrapped in a combine harvester in Piet Retief in Mpumalanga.

Midlands EMS crew spent yesterday’s late afternoon (Friday, 1 July) trying to retrieve the teenager from the farming machine.

“Midlands EMS Piet Retief crews were dispatched to a farming accident late yesterday afternoon.

On crew’s arrival, they found a 19-year-old male patient entrapped in a combine harvester,” the report read.
