Gauteng weather: Whole province ‘on alert’ for DISRUPTIVE rainfall

The province of Gauteng has been slapped with a blanket Level 2 weather warning on Sunday, with disruptive rainfall set to persist long into the evening of Monday 4 April.

For the next 24 hours or so, heavy downpours and the potential impact of flooding have put Gauteng on high alert. The SA Weather Service has cautioned locals about the rainfall, warning drivers to adjust to the difficult conditions.

According to a report in The Sun, the flaw is link to updates and users are urged to check and update their Google Chrome immediately.

Gauteng Govt ‘fails’ to meet almost ALL of its housing targets

The Gauteng Department of Human Settlements’ third-quarter report for the 2021/22 financial year doesn’t make for the most encouraging reading. The report reveals that the department failed to meet ANY of its housing services targets. According to the DA, it’s all down to ANC internal election battles in the province.

Malema on Operation Dudula criticism: ‘They all imitate me’

EFF leader Julius Malema is hitting back at the criticism heavily levelled at him by Operation Dudula and reckons they are all just taking a page out of his book.

Malema isn’t very popular with the controversial movement, which has been accused of expressing xenophobic sentiments and running a campaign against foreign nationals living in the country illegally. The movement’s leader Nhlanhla Lux Dlamini was charged with housebreaking, theft, and malicious damage to property earlier in March. This is after a Soweto resident opened a case against him, claiming his home was ransacked by Operation Dudula members who had accused him of selling drugs.

Hippo killed in accident near Rietvlei Nature Reserve in Pretoria

An accident near the Rietvlei Nature Reserve in Pretoria claimed the life of a hippo on Saturday evening. The Department of Environment and Agriculture MMC Katlego confirmed the accident on Sunday.

“During the course of the night of 2-3 April 2022, a hippo was run over by a vehicle near the Rietvlei Nature Reserve.
