South Africans should brace themselves for more load shedding as Eskom has announced it will be implementing stage 2 for the entire week, between 17:00 and 22:00.

BREAKING: Stage 2 load shedding to be implemented this week
South Africans should brace themselves for more load shedding as Eskom has announced it will be implementing stage 2 for the entire week, between 17:00 and 22:00. But the embattled parastatal has highlighted it may be forced to turn the lights off outside of these periods.
“Due to the continued shortage of generation capacity, Stage 2 loadshedding will be implemented from 17:00 until 22:00 throughout the week.
While there may be instances where loadshedding might need to be implemented outside of these hours, as far as possible Eskom will endeavour to limit the implementation of loadshedding to the evening peak in order to limit the impact of the capacity shortages on the public,” said Eskom spokesperson Sikonathi Mantshantsha on Sunday.

KZN Premier Sihle Zikalala has confirmed that over 190 people have already been evacuated over the weekend. Zikalala has also warned that those in the Southern parts of Durban (uMlazi, Wentworth, Isipingo, Amanzimtoti and Westbrook) need to be particularly vigilant.
Three Western Cape politicians’ names appear on supposed hit list
African National Congress (ANC) Councillors in the Theewaterskloof Municipality have been warned to exercise caution. It’s been reported that a few councillors’ names have appeared on a so-called hit list.
A source revealed that the people behind the hit list are planning to target the councillors ‘execution-style’. Theewaterskloof Mayor Karel Papier is aware of the supposed hit list. He said that the municipality’s security measures will be beefed up for Mayco members.
