It’s all kicking off in Johannesburg: South Africans have got pretty used to the chaos that confronts us each day. But, after prolonged spells of load shedding and soaring fuel prices, we might just have to draw the line at sharing the freeway with an escaped ostrich.

It is ‘Shark Week’ in the United States; while filming near Mossel Bay, in the Western Cape, the Discovery network captured drone footage of three orcas killing a Great White Shark. The footage is video evidence that supports scientists’ theories regarding Shark migration.

In some disturbing news, the Phoenix Forensic Mortuary is now a building filled with the stench of dead bodies lying around, hovering flies and a health hazard for its workers.

WATCH: Look out for that ostrich! Big bird ‘on the loose’ in Johannesburg

It’s all kicking off in Johannesburg: South Africans have got pretty used to the chaos that confronts us each day. But, after prolonged spells of load shedding and soaring fuel prices, we might just have to draw the line at sharing the freeway with an escaped ostrich.

The jaw-dropping sight was reported by a stunned motorist earlier on Thursday. She was also able to capture the big bird on film, as it weaved in and out of lanes and caused chaos on William Nicol Drive. The ostrich was first spotted in the Randburg area.

‘Historic’ footage shows Orcas killing a nine-foot Great White Shark in Mossel Bay

It is ‘Shark Week’ in the United States, while filming near Mossel Bay, in the Western Cape, the Discovery network captured drone footage of three orcas killing a Great White Shark. The footage is video evidence that supports scientists’ theories regarding Shark migration.

According to the Daily Beast, which scooped the video footage from Discovery ahead of its television debut, it is the first time an incident such as this has been captured on camera after three decades of Shark Week programming.

Phoenix mortuary – flies, stench and bodies lying EVERYWHERE

The Phoenix Forensic Mortuary is now a building filled with the stench of dead bodies lying around, hovering flies and a health hazard for its workers.

The National Education, Health and Allied Workers’ Union (Nehawu) in KwaZulu-Natal visited the mortuary. What they saw left the union flabbergasted and disappointed, said provincial secretary Ayanda Zulu.

The mortuary’s storage capacity is seriously exceeded and strained. Bodies are lying on the floor since there is no storage in the fridges, she said.

WATCH: Truck brakes fail, causing a MAJOR accident on N3

Watch the terrifying moment when a truck’s brakes failed on the N3 on Wednesday afternoon, causing a MAJOR accident.

According to reports on social media, the accident happened on the N3 in Pietermaritzburg on Wednesday afternoon.

In the first video, you can see the truck flying down Townhill with its brake lights on and smoke bulging out from the wheels. The truck is seen swerving left and right before it collides with another vehicle. The tanker of the truck was thrown several metres from the truck.
