An update from the National Institute For Communicable Diseases (NICD) has shown that the new number of cases has SPIKED.

Police Minister Bheki Cele has issued a warning to any politically-connected grifters who are looking to plunder the KZN relief funds after a State of Disaster declaration freed up a ‘financial war-chest’ to help rebuild the weather-ravaged province. However, can our elected officials be trusted?

In some sad news about the floods, the body of a woman, employed as a domestic worker, who was trapped in her room since 12 April was retrieved by the Gift of the Givers’ team.

While we are on the subject of the KZN floods, an awkward moment was caught on air as BBC World News struggled to find South Africa on a map.

Midway through a report on the devastating floods in Kwazulu-Natal in South Africa, the BBC World News team used a world map to show South Africa but instead showed the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).

You are warned the following story is just horrific. An elderly couple, both in their seventies, were targeted during a heinous farm murder on Wednesday – and the barbarians behind this attack decided to TORCH the property with their victims still inside.

However, can our elected officials be trusted?

Confidence in the ability of our political leaders to distribute disaster funds to the public – rather than pocketing them for their own selfish gains – took a major hit two years ago. A large number of ANC comrades chowed the multi-billion rand package meant to help cushion the blow of the COVID pandemic, and subsequent lockdowns.
