The recent revelations of how Latin singer Shakira found out her long-term former footballer boyfriend Gerard Piqué was cheating on her shocked the couple’s fans worldwide.

The award-winning musician released her latest song. In the single, she bashed her ex and his new lover, 23-year-old Clara Chia Marti in the lyrics.

Several sources reported that Piqué cheated on Shakira after dating for 12 years.

HERE IS HOW SHAKIRA FOUND OUT PIQUÉ WAS CHEATING BEHIND HER BACK

The Hips Don’t Lie hitmaker reportedly loves jam. She noticed that her strawberry jam would get used when she flew out on tour. Piqué on the other hand does not enjoy jam. This fueled the desire for Shakira to investigate what caused her jams disappearance.

In the song Te Felicito, Shakira’s Rauw Alejandro’s single, the singer can be seen opening a refrigerator, only to discover Alejandro’s head on a platter, PageSix reported.

In her most recent song titled Out of Your League, Shakira scorned her ex and his new girlfriend in the lyrics and sang,

 ‘I’m worth two 22s_You traded a Ferrari for a Twingo_You traded a Rolex for a Casio.”

The song reportedly reached over 63 million plays in less than 24 hours.

PIQUÉ AND HIS GIRLFRIEND RESPOND TO THE MUSICIAN’S SONG LYRICS

According to Marca, Marti took to Instagram, implying she was bored on the topic and shared a yawning emoji.

Meanwhile, during a press conference, the former Manchester United footballer announced he had reached a sponsorship with Casio. Piqué showed off the brand’s watch, which he wore on his wrist, NME reported.

He had reportedly been spotted driving around town in a Renault Twingo. Allegedly, the former football player had mischievously done so for an entire weekend. The choice to do so was a deliberate attempt to mock Shakira’s recent song lyrics.

But that is not it; the Piqué also customised Twingo’s car’s number plate with 2511MDJ. According to Football Espana, the number plate represented the date Shakira took children Milan and Sasha to Miami with her. MDJ supposedly stands for “Me Dejo,” meaning ‘left me” in Spanish.
