Senzo Meyiwa’s brother has said the arrested suspects for his brother’s murder are innocent. Him and Bheki Cele know the murderer.

The arrested suspects for the murder of former Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa have nothing to do with the crime, his brother Sifiso told the media on Monday 25 October.
SENZO MEYIWA MURDER: SUSPECTS ARE GUILT-FREE
As reported by The South African, five suspects appeared in court for the alleged killing of the former professional goalkeeper. While the court decided on an extended trial day, the late victim’s brother has claimed the cops have the wrong suspects.
The five men were handcuffed after the former footballer was gunned down in October 2014 while visiting his girlfriend Kelly Khumalo in Vosloorus, Gauteng.
“We were on the same page with the Minister [Bheki Cele] on who commited the killing. He previously agreed that these suspects have nothing to do with the murder. All of a sudden he is saying it’s someone else,” Sifiso Meyiwa said.
BHEKI CELE ACCUSED OF CHANGING HIS MIND
Meyiwa’s brother went on to request President Cyril Ramaphosa and his cabinet to intervene on the case.
Sifiso said Bheki Cele has left him confused after the minister had initially agreed with the family on who killed his brother. It was not the arrested five suspects.
“The South African public will now lose trust in the government if this wrong accusation continues.
“The family and the minister knows who killed my brother. We all agreed on who did it. I don’t want to lie.”
“Now he is saying these five suspects did it. He has changed his mind. I don’t know if there is something they are threatening him with. Maybe the minister is afraid of something, I don’t know.”
SENZO MEYIWA’S BROTHER TRUSTS IN GOD
Asked to share his feelings on the wrongly accused suspects, Sifiso laid his trust in God. He said he does not fear anyone who may try to threaten his life in the persuit of justice for Senzo Meyiwa’s murder.
“There are people who have told me to stop this case, let it go because your brother is no more. If it means that I have to die to expose the murderers then let it be that. I was very close to my brother.
“I have a strong relationship with God. I don’t fear anyone, not even the president. I do not fear power,” Sifiso concluded.
Meanwhile, the five arrested suspects will return to court on 11 and 14 April 2022 to stand trial for the murder of Senzo Meyiwa.
