Security officer BRUTALLY gunned down before body dumped in manhole

An officer was BRUTALLY gunned down before his body was dumped in a manhole in KwaZulu-Natal on Friday morning.

THE SECURITY OFFICER WAS BRUTALLY GUNNED DOWN WHILE ON PATROL

According to Reaction Unit SA (RUSA), Prem Balram, the 33-year-old officer, was on patrol with a branded golf cart when he was ambushed by unknown suspects.

“Reaction Officers patrolling the business park discovered a pool of blood and a spent 9mm cartridge next to a manhole while searching for their colleague.”

Balram said the body of the RUSA member was located after the concrete cover was removed.

OFFICERS PATROLLING DISCOVERED A POOL OF BLOOD

“His golf cart was recovered approximately 100 meters away. The seat was covered in blood.”

The officer’s body was thereafter dumped in a manhole, and the concrete cover was replaced.

Balram furthermore said the RUSA is offering a reward to anyone who has information that would lead to the arrest of the perpetrators.

Meanwhile, the body of a naked man was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds in his home on Station Road, Canelands, on Wednesday evening.

ANOTHER MAN WAS MURDERED EARLIER THIS WEEK

“Residents contacted Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) at approximately 23:14 after hearing shots being fired in the area.

“On arrival, residents escorted Reaction Officers & RUSA Medics through an informal area to the victim’s home.”

Balram said on examination the man was found to have sustained two gunshot wounds to his back & one to his chest.

“He was naked in a prone position on the floor. Four spent 9mm cartridges were recovered at the scene.”

The motive for the murder was not established.
