Now, we often hear about local businesses looking to “give back” to the community but this time Takkie and Carpet Wash have gone to incredible lengths. We know so many of our countries roads are plagued with potholes so these gents decided one day to see what they could do to improve the situation.

“while the gents were hanging at our workplace with nothing to do, and because that corner is one of the busiest inter-joining with the busy street on our location and full of potholes ,all the gents saw an opportunity to give back to the community…”

The team told us that they went on to fix over 10 potholes on Hollywood and Dumela streets. The team’s photographer captured the repairs and the group started to receive all kinds of praise on social media for their service to the community.

The business does further work for the local community by having most of its team made up of unemployed community members.  Not only do these guys create jobs they put their resources back into the community’s roads. We wanted to make people sure our readers were aware of the true leadership that Takkie and Carpet Wash Crew show. If you are ever in the area do your best to support them. Also, be more like them, think how you can give back to your community in new and exciting ways.
