Rassie van der Dussen gets late call-up to join the IPL party

Proteas batsman Rassie van der Dussen has joined the Rajasthan Royals for what will be his maiden stint at the Indian Premier League.

Proteas batsman Rassie van der Dussen has joined the Rajasthan Royals for what will be his maiden stint at the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Rassie van der Dussen has been called up to fill the void left by the injured Ben Stokes and will join compatriots Chris Morris and David Miller.

The 32-year-old is set to undergo a medical on Monday and pending that will join up with his new side immediately thereafter.

Van der Dussen was one of the Proteas’ shining lights in an otherwise gloomy recent ODI and T20 Pakistan series.
