John Steenhuisen in a dance off with Cyril Ramaphosa is something we never thought we would see. Who wins?
It’s coming to the home stretch of election campaign season. That means we are officially in silly season. Politicians are running up and down all over the country. T-shirts are being handed out left right and center by Cyril Ramaphosa. And, of course, John Steenhuisen won’t shut up about how he will “vuli gate”. So what do we South Africans do? One of us decides it is time to demand a dance-off between Ramaphosa and Steenhuisen.
Steenhuisen and Ramaphosa: Dancing queens?
So how did we get here? It all started with Twitter going completely berserk at this video of Steenhuisen dancing to the song “John Vuli gate“, while out campaigning earlier this week. The only connection here? Steenhuisen’s name is John. That clip has already been viewed close to 50 000 times.
Why does John Steenhuisen think he can vula the gate?
Well, since Steenhuisen discovered the track, he’s been going on about how he is going to “vuli” absolutely EVERYTHING.

So where does President Cyril Ramaphosa come into the mix? Let’s not forget, Mr Family Meeting / Cupcake has also been absolutely roasted for his dance moves. To be fair, not everyone can be Jacob “Msholozi” Zuma. That man faced allegation after allegation, but he just danced them all off.
