R50 000 reward for info on suspects who murdered a man during a house robbery
Four suspects murdered a man after threatening to burn his wife and child with an iron. A reward of R50 000 is now being offered.

Limpopo police are offering a R50 000 reward for information that can lead to the arrest and subsequent conviction of the suspects responsible for the murder of a man in his home.
Phineas Tswaledi Matsepane was allegedly killed at his home in Ditwebeleng village under the Mecklenburg policing area outside Sekhukhune on 18 April 2020.
R50 000 REWARD FOR INFO ON A MAN WHO WAS MURDERD
According to the South African Police Service (SAPS), Matsepane was shot and killed on Saturday, 18 April 2020, by unknown suspects during an alleged house robbery.
Four suspects carrying firearms forcibly entered the house through the dining room door, which was not locked, and proceeded to the main bedroom, allegedly. They then found a couple sleeping with their three-year-old child and ordered them to lie on the ground and put blankets on top of them.

Police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba said the suspects demanded money from the man and threatened to burn the victims with an iron if they didn’t comply. They then took the firearm belonging to the man, R31 000 in cash, two cellphones, two flat-screen television sets, and car keys.
“The suspects after that took the wife outside the house while others remained behind with her husband. The suspects then shot at the man, killing him instantly, before fleeing the scene in his vehicle, which was later recovered by the police after the suspects abandoned it in the nearby area. Police opened a case of house robbery and murder and launched a search to track down the suspects,” he said.
Police have urged anyone with valuable information that can lead to the arrest and subsequent conviction of the perpetrators to contact Detective-Commander Captain David Mosoma on 082 536 1964. Alternatively, community members can contact the police at the crime stop number 0860010111 or the nearest police station or MySAPSApp. Callers may opt to remain anonymous, and any information received will be treated with strict confidentiality.
