A number of streets in Pretoria will be affected on Friday as the Not In My Name organisation will lead a march against load shedding.

Pretoria motorists have been urged to find alternative routes on Friday, 20 January due to a planned march to the Union Buildings.
Not In My Name International will be marching against long hours of ongoing load shedding and the 18.65% tariff hike granted to Eskom by the National Energy Regulator of South Africa (NERSA).
According to the Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD), the marchers are expected to gather from 08:30 at Church Square, Pretoria Central.
The route of the march is as follows:
Tshwane Metro Police Department spokesperson Isaac Mahamba said from Church Square marchers will join Paul Kruger Street and turn right onto Madiba Street. They will proceed until they reach NERSA offices at 526 Madiba Street and head to Union Buildings, Arcadia, Pretoria. From NERSA, they will proceed on Madiba Street to march to Union Buildings.

They are expected to disperse from NERSA at 11:00 and Union Buildings at 12:30.
Mahamba said Tshwane Metro Police officers would be deployed to monitor the march and all affected streets.
