A lucky winner from Pretoria has won the R8 million PowerBall Plus jackpot from Tuesday 10 August. The winning ticket was purchased at Brazil Cafe in Pretoria North and the person spent a cool R22.50 on the winning ticket using the Quick Pick selection method.

The winning numbers from this draw are 3, 12, 17, 37, 38, and the PowerBall is 17.

WINNING POWERBALL PLUS TICKET TO BE VALIDATED 

Ceo of ITHUBA, Charmaine Mabuza congratulated the newest PowerBall Plus, winner. 

“The first step will be to validate the winning ticket and offer the winner free trauma counselling and financial advisory services. A 47-year-old electrician from Pretoria recently won the PowerBall Plus jackpot, scoring R17 million. 

The winner, who is getting married in December, has big plans following his lucky streak. “A portion of the winnings will go towards our dream wedding and honeymoon, most probably at an exotic location, once the pandemic is over. I also plan on investing and buying shares in a telecommunications company with the balance of my winnings,” he said.

The winner used the QuickPick selection method and spent R105 on the winning ticket, which was purchased at the Super Spar, Silver Oaks Crossing Centre, in Pretoria.

“A couple of days after the draw I decided to check my PowerBall Plus ticket. When I realised that I had matched all six numbers, I immediately checked on the National Lottery website to see how many other players had won the PowerBall Plus jackpot. To my surprise, there was only one lucky winner and at that very moment I knew I was that one lucky winner,” he added.
